The Role
We are seeking a precise & patient-obsessed breast imager to read screening & diagnostic studies. You will interpret mammography, 3D mammography, breast ultrasound, & breast MRI, working directly with our ops team to deliver the best possible care. Fully remote, part time or full time, with real ownership over your schedule & volume.
- Interpret screening & diagnostic mammography, including 3D mammography
- Read breast ultrasound & breast MRI
- Read quantitative tomography 3D ultrasound – optional, with training & no prior experience required
- Own your schedule & set the minimum & maximum volume you want
- Read outpatient studies only – no nights or weekends required
- Partner with our ops team to deliver the best patient care & reports
- No patient or referring provider communication required
- Medical director roles may open intermittently, with additional compensation outside of Avara if you want them – entirely optional
- Give feedback to our engineers & refine the radiology systems – optional
Requirements
- ABR or AOBR board certified
- Breast imaging fellowship
- Meets MQSA interpreting-physician requirements
- Licensed in at least one U.S. state – we assist with credentialing in any new states
- Your own malpractice coverage preferred – we assist if you do not already have it
- Excellent communication skills
